Fellows are associated with an applied or basic science research cluster in the Twin Cities or Rochester, where they participate in on-going projects as active collaborators and co-investigators. Topical areas in informatics include Clinical Decision Support, Genomics and Proteomics, Telemedicine, Library Sciences, or Public Health. Opportunities for research studies, dissertation or postdoctoral practicum lead to peer-reviewed publications. The opportunities to develop and evaluate clinical system enhancements are varied and abundant. Opportunities to learn with informatics mentors and contribute to learning are plentiful and richly rewarding.
