  • Congratulations to Dr. LaValleur for being named to the Medical School's Admission Committee
  • The division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is happy to welcome our new staff doctor, Mohamed Mitwally, M.D.  Dr. Mitwally completed medical school in Egypt, his U.S. residency at Buffalo State University and his four fellowships at West Virginia University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Toronto and Wayne State University.  Dr. Mitwally is world-wide known for his invention of a new infertility treatment (Aromatase Inhibitors).  He holds a portfolio of seven patents on the use of aromatase inhibitors for treating infertility and other reproductive disorders.  He began his new position as Assistant Professor on August 4.
  • The division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is happy to welcome our new staff doctor Yasuko Yamamura.  Dr. Yamamura completed medical school in Puerto Rico, her residency at Mayo Clinic and fellowship at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Yamamura will begin her new position as Assistant Professor on August 1.
  • Anders Boyd's twin brother, Micah, won a bronze medal as part of the US Men's Rowing team who competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.  Anders worked in the research area of our department.  Congratulations to Micah!
