Dr. Anderson was born and raised in Minnesota.  She graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.  She then attended the University of Minnesota Medical School.  She completed a transitional internship year at Hennepin County Medical Center and then fulfilled her three-year residency in Ophthalmology followed by a Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship year at the University of Minnesota.  She joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor in September of 2005. 

Dr. Anderson’s clinical interests include all of pediatric ophthalmology, including pediatric cataracts, glaucoma, and retinopathy of prematurity.  She also has special training for complicated adult and pediatric strabismus.

She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two young daughters.
