John G. Stark, M.D., Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the Medical School at the University of Minnesota

Assistant Professor

Dr. Stark is a Minnesota native who began his tenure at Regions Hospital and the University of Minnesota Physicians in 2000.

He developed his special interest in fracture treatment and continues his work in difficult salvage and reconstructive problems of the lumbar spine, particularly degenerative problems, including herniated disks, fusion surgery and sacroiliac disease.

Dr. Stark has several articles and patents on the control of rehabilitation, computers and physical therapy, the healing of injuries, and the acceleration of rehabilitation.
