Division of Clinical Neuroscience, Department of Pediatrics Photo of boy on steps
This program emphasizes a holistic approach to care of children and adolescents with a focus on family and community contexts.

The Division of Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience is comprised of three sections: Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Neuropsychology,  and the Autism Program. Physicians and Pediatric Neuropsychologists may participate in more than one section.

The faculty of the division are concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, and  muscles of patients from birth through adolescence.

We provide advanced diagnostic techniques and have access to modern testing methods to arrive at an appropriate  formulation of the infant or child's problem and a suitable treatment plan.

The Division also provides educational programs for professional, doctoral, post-doctoral students, as well as residents and  fellows.

All members of the Division are committed to research, often involving collaboration with faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics, or other areas of the University to advance understanding of normal and abnormal neurological function.

Because of the broad commitment to Clinical Neuroscience, we expect the Division of Pediatric Clinical Neuroscience to  enhance all of its programs through the addition of new faculty members as well as the increase in service, educational and  research endeavors over the next few years.
