This award was presented to Dr. Deinard in recognition of his many years of diligent work in advocating for the health care needs of low-income, uninsured, and special needs patients in Minnesota.  The Association represents 18 community health center programs throughout the state, serving 120,000 patients at 54 sites, providing medical, dental, mental health, substance abuse, and case management services.  Dr. Deinard served as the Association's Board Chair from 1995-1997, and has continued to provide leadership, mentoring, and inspiration to his colleagues throughout the years.
