Diagnostic Evaluation
We offer comprehensive diagnostic services including a complete clinical interview and a series of assessment measures. Initial evaluations last 2 to 3 hours.
Medication Management
If psychiatry medication is appropriate, prescriptions and follow-up care are provided.
Outpatient Therapy
Master-level and doctorate-level therapists work with children, adolescents, and their families to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Common Symptoms of Anxiety Disorders:
- Recurrent, excessive distress when separated from home or caregivers
- School refusal
- A marked and persistent fear of situations (school, social, performance) or objects
- Excessive concerns about embarrassment, negative evaluation, and rejection
- Frequent complaints of stomachaches
- Obsessive thoughts, compulsive rituals
- Excessive anxiety and worry
- Constant thoughts and fears about safety of self and parents
- Discrete periods of intense fear or discomfort
- Re-experiencing traumatic events; avoiding stimuli associated with the trauma
Common Symptoms of Mood Disorders:
- Loss of interest in previously enjoyed activities
- Sad/depressed mood or irritable mood lasting for at least 2 weeks
- Increased fatigability or decreased energy
- Loss of confidence or self-esteem
- Significant weight loss or gain
- Sleep disturbance
- Hopelessness about the future
- Withdrawal from friends an family
- Frequent physical complaints
- Severe mood swings
- Severe changes in mood - usually happy or silly, or very irritable
