Elke Eckert, M.D.
Professor

A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and also completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Eckert is the Medical Director of the University of Minnesota Clinical Program for Eating Disorders and staffs various parts of the Eating Disorder Program.  Her main research interests lie in the area of eating disorders, particularly anorexia nervosa, and in the area of twins.  She has several ongoing research studies in eating disorders and is also involved in the Minnesota Study of Twins Reared Apart.
