Tom Mackenzie, M.D.
Professor

Professor, Vice Chair, Director of the Medical Student Education and Interim Director of the Psychiatry Residency Training Program.  Graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at Dartmouth Medical School.  Dr. Mackenzie joined the University of Minnesota faculty in 1977.

His interests include obsessive-compulsive disorder, human ecology, and sociobiology.  He was the first recipient of the Graduate–Professional Teaching Award for the 1998-1999 academic year from the University of Minnesota Medical School.  Upon receiving this award, he is Distinguished University Teaching Professor of Psychiatry.  He began service as Vice-Chair of the Department of Psychiatry in 2000.
