Maroon and Gold Leaves Scott Crow, M.D. is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Crow's research examines the course, outcome, and treatment of eating disorders and obesity. He is currently the recipient of an Independent Scientist Award (from the National Institute of Mental Health) focusing on the course, outcome and treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Crow is Immediate Past President of the Academy for Eating Disorders, and is Director of the Eating Disorder/Assessment Core of the Minnesota Obesity Center. 

Carol B. Peterson, Ph.D. received her B.A. in Psychology from Yale University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota.  Currently, Dr. Peterson is a Research Associate and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota.  Her research focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of eating disorders and obesity.  She has authored more than 45 articles and book chapters, and recently co-edited a book entitled “Assessment of Eating Disorders.”  Dr. Peterson also has a part-time private practice in which she specializes in the treatment of eating disorders.
