Sandeep Gupta, M.D. is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the division of Renal, and a member of the Stem Cell Institute. His research, in collaboration with Dr. Mark Rosenberg, focuses on kidney stem cells and the role of these cells in kidney regeneration. Dr. Gupta's research is directed at delineating the cellular source for this kidney regeneration, improving kidney regeneration by facilitating cell lineage progression, and determination of stem cell markers and proteome. In addition to his research, Dr. Gupta attends on the Research Consult Service and participates in the education for the division.
