Bertram L. Kasiske, MD, FACP
Professor of Medicine

Dr. Kasiske is a Professor of Medicine and Head of Transplant Nephrology at the University. He is also the Director of the Renal Division at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), a leading community hospital affiliated with the University of Minnesota Medical School. In 2002, Dr. Kasiske became Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, the official journal of the National Kidney Foundation. Dr. Kasiske has served on many elected boards and committees, including his current position as Medical/Scientific Representative to the Board of Directors of United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), and recently completed Chairmanship of the K/DOQI Working Group for Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Dyslipidemia.
