Assistant Professor
Dr Hojjati a recent graduate of Yale university Section of Rheumatology, is currently an Assistant professor of Medicine at the Section of Rheumatic and Autoimmune disease, University of Minnesota. She has a keen interest in Neutophil biology and has evaluated the Biosynthesis of calprotectin and its release mechanism. (A multipotent cytosolic protein and biomarker of inflammation in the neutrophils). She will further expand her investigation on potential inflammatory biomarkers for Lupus erythematosis and lupus nephritis. She is also involved in Clinical trials for SLE nephritis. Her aim is to develop a Lupus research clinic at the university of Minnesota, in order to further enhance patient care and translational research.
