  • Yearly review of accomplishments and plans
  • Advise on recruitment of faculty
  • Develop and implement guidelines for membership in the Institute
  • Advise / refer ethical issues related to stem cell research
  • Advise / refer conflict of interest in research sponsored by industry
  • Fundraising
  • Scientific review panel to review grants from investigators in Stem Cell Institute and University
Board
Board meetings are held four times per year.

Board:
Chair: Catherine Verfaillie, MD.
Members to be appointed for 3-5 years
    • Representatives from Medical School Departments with ongoing research efforts in Stem Cell Biology, including research in developmental biology, functional genomics, proteomics and pharmacogenomics, genetics, molecular and biochemical aspects of signaling, cell biology, cell physiology, and immunology of stem cells and transplantation.
