Embryonic Stem Cells, Stem Cell Institute at the University of Minnesota

Researchers are evaluating the ability of human embryonic stem (ES) cells to become different cell types. Emphasis is currently on human ES cells that can become hematopoietic cells (cells that form blood cells) and endothelial cells (cells that line various body cavities like blood vessels and the heart).
