Govind Vatassery, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor

Dr. Vatassery received his Ph.D. in 1969 from the University of Minnesota in Biochemistry.  Prior work experience includes:  Director of Neurochemistry Research Laboratory at the Veterans' Administration Medical Center, 1969-present.  In addition, he holds the title of Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota, 1973-present.  His responsibilities include:  obtaining funding for three centers and to conduct research.  

Dr. Vatassery's research interests are in dementia, geriatrics, epilepsy and neurochemistry of vitamin E.
