Benefits available to fellows in the renal fellowship program include:

  • three weeks vacation each year
  • pre-tax health care reimbursement *

  • access to Renal Fellows library
  • discount theatre, film and sporting events tickets

* These accounts allow you to set aside money from your salary, before taxes are withheld, to pay for out-of-pocket medical and child care expenses.

Stipends
Stipends are determined annually by the Medical School. The 2008/09 stipends are:

G4 $49,045
G5 $50,433
G6 $52,204
G7 $53,873

Insurance

  • health insurance for fellows (family coverage available at additional cost)
  • a $25,000 Life insurance policy as well as a long-term disability insurance
  • dental insurance for fellows (family coverage available at additional cost)
  • malpractice insurance at each hospital
