Educational Objectives:
 
Understand the pathogenesisis of acromegaly-induced musculoskeletal manifestations
 
Be familiar with the clinical features of hemochromatosis
 
Be able to recognize the development of sarcoma in patients with Pagets disease
 
Be able to recognize the typical presentation, pattern of joint involvement, and pathogenesis of dialysis related amyloidosis
 
Be familiar with the typical radiographic features of hyperparathyroidism
 
Questions

  1. What is the radiographic evidence for acromegaly?
  2. What are the musculoskeletal signs and symptoms characteristic of acromegaly?
  3. What are the characteristic radiographic features of hereditary hemochromatosis?
  4. What are the radiographic findings which distinguish HH from RA?
  5. Describe the typical location and appearance of the bone lesions which occur in dialysis related amyloidosis
