HIPAA TRAINING FOR NEW STAFF/FACULTY IN RHEUMATOLOGY
You have been assigned HIPAA training by the Division of Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases. HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The Division of Rheumatology requires that you take all 3 of the trainings that the University offers (other departments may have different requirements). Remember that this training is not the same as Data Security training (also required by the Medical School). This is MANDATORY training, required by the University of Minnesota, The Medical School, and the Federal Government.
Please use this as an aid before you start your training.
1. Check your browser settings. Incorrect browser settings cause 90% of problems with VISTA. To find the proper settings, please go HERE
2. Install the correct FLASH plugin at the Adobe website CLICK HERE to download
3. Make sure you know your University internet ID (x500 log in) and password
