Organization and Mission The mission of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School is to: - Advance the state of knowledge in therapeutic radiology and radiation oncology
- Provide the most optimal cancer therapy
- Educate medical students, physicians, radiation technologists, physicists, and the public as to cancer prevention, treatment, research, and advocacy
- Develop state-of-the-art research models that can be translated into clinical trials.
The Department of Radiation Oncology provide residents and faculty access to a wide spectrum of patients with a variety of medical problems. The Department of Radiation Oncology also has laboratories that investigate basic biologic questions in cancer-related research. |
