Patient Care

WE WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT CARE FOR ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS WITH CANCER

Our physicians combine their comprehensive knowledge and skills with an interdisciplinary team approach to planning and providing care appropriate for each patient. This very precise treatment planning is designed to deliver optimum radiation to tumors and to spare surrounding tissue.

Once planning is completed, very sophisticated technology is marshalled to provide patients with appropriate and highly accurate radiation therapy. At the Department of Therapeutic Radiology we offer a range of technology not offered anywhere else in the Twin Cities.

We pride ourselves on being among the leaders in advanced technologies for a wide variety of therapeutic radiation treatments. Patients should expect no less.

  • Tomotherapy
  • Gamma Knife
  • Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) delivers just the right intensity of radiation to the tumor based on its thickness and location.
  • High dose rate brachytherapy (HDR) and low dose rate brachytherapy (LDR)
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery
  • 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy
  • Total body radiation
  • Prostate seed implantation
