Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School
I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth campus due to its small class size and curriculum. I enjoy having a close-knit class, and the faculty are extremely approachable.
I researched the effect of persistent organic pollutants on the development of type 1 diabetes in genetically predisposed mice during undergrad. This was a fun experience leading to several poster presentations and a publication in the Journal of Immunotoxicology.
Primary Care Sports Medicine
I volunteer at the HOPE clinic as part of the RAL course. I also volunteer as a judge for HOSA, an extracurricular for high school and college students. Reffing hockey has been a huge part of my life as well, and I serve that community as well through mentoring young officials and helping with camps.
