  • Cochlear anatomy and pathology, ultrastructural organization of stereocilia, tectorial membrane, and extracellular matrix
  • Structural analysis of biological macromolecules and cell structures: proteins, protein complexes, viruses, and bacteria
  • Transmission and scanning electron microscopy, including computer image analysis of biological macromolecules
  • Histochemistry and immunohistochemistry
  • Animal models of otitis media, middle and inner ear interactions, pathology of the inner ear due to otitis media, effect of virulence proteins of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae on the pathological changes in the middle and inner ears.
  • Sensorineural hearing loss, auditory brainstem response in animals
  • Human temporal bone research
