Thesis Research

My research combines live cell fluorescence microscopy with quantitative image analysis and biophysical computational modeling to explore mechanisms regulating cell division in the context of cancer and other cellular disease phenotypes. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how mechanical changes in a cell's mitotic machinery contribute to errors in chromosome congression and segregation.
