Community-Academic Board & Collaborators

The PHDR Community-Academic Board is a unified board composed of University of Minnesota researchers and community members including representatives from health agencies and non-profit organizations. While board co-chairs from the university and the community facilitate monthly meetings, all the board members carry equal status. The board has a governance role, which involves making decisions and setting strategic directions and guidance for PHDR activities. The board also aims to strengthen relationships between PHDR and local communities in order to facilitate effective community-academic research and programmatic partnerships to improve health equity.
