Student Compliance Requirements

Your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of your patients, is important to us.

The University of Minnesota Academic Health Center, University Health and Safety-Occupational Health, Boynton Health, UMD Health Services, site affiliation agreements, and the Medical School Office of Education have set policies and processes related to the following compliance requirements for medical students.

Failure to remain compliant in any of the eight requirements below may result in a hold being placed on your student record. A hold on your record for non-compliance will prevent future enrollment and rotation participation, and it may affect your student status in areas such as financial aid and health insurance eligibility until you are back in compliance.

It is important that you check your compliance status on your MEdIS - Compliance tab and your OHS Portal prior to each semester, and respond promptly to any compliance/hold notification emails you may receive.
