MEET THE CLASS OF 2022

Our new class of students come from a variety of backgrounds, each with a unique path that led them to our Medical School. We connected with three members of the class of 2022 who shared their story and goals.

Dean Tolar's Words of Wisdom

Dr. Jakub Tolar has a 25-year history with the University of Minnesota and shares his experience and words of encouragement in special memo to the class of 2022.

“There are a few times in our lives, a very few, when we have a dramatic demarcation of how our life proceeds from one adventure to the next. Receiving your white coat is one of those sharp and memorable times.”

2022 MD Student Oaths

Every year the new MD class collaboratively develops an oath which is recited during the white coat ceremony. The sacred pledge dates back hundreds of years and affirms each student to abide by a strong set of ethical standards, commitment to their patients and the utmost quality of care.
