UMN Employee Finds Kidney Donor Via Social Media
Susan Markgraf received a new kidney after a Facebook friend volunteered to donate. Soon after Susan posted to her Facebook page asking for a donor, her brother's friend, Kelly, replied to the request.
“If I’m walking along a river and I’ve got a life vest on my shoulder and there’s somebody drowning, of course you’re going to throw it to them. I’m walking. I don’t need it. Here, have mine,” Kelly told the Minnesota Daily.
