Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Observerships

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology offers qualified US and International physicians the opportunity to observe our physicians, residents and fellows in practice. The goal is to provide insight into day-to-day responsibilities of pathologists practicing in the United States. Observers may also be able to attend didactic conferences. Observerships will not be granted for longer than one month.

Observers are responsible for all lodging, travel, parking and meal arrangements and costs. There is no stipend associated with an observership. The Department of Laboratory Medicine reserves the right to terminate an observer’s rotation at any time in the event that the observer’s performance jeopardizes a patient’s well-being; performance is unable to achieve the objectives of the educational experience, in the event of a HIPAA violation, or at the discretion of faculty or staff.

**WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR OBSERVERSHIPS**
