Email & Library Access
Graduating residents/fellows can retain their U of M email account and x500 access.
Email access
See "Keeping your UMN Email Account Active" for more information on retaining your UMN e-mail access post-graduation.
Library Access
Graduating Residents and Fellows do not retain remote access to online library resources. However, below are alternative library resources that are free for graduates to access.
- Minnesota residents have free access to many electronic resources through eLibrary Minnesota. One database of interest is called Academic Search Premier.
- Minnesota residents can also borrow most UMN Libraries materials for free through their public library card. Contact your public library, or use MNLINK to request materials.
- PubMed Central is a free, full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).
- Visitors can access nearly all online library resources from onsite library computers in any U of M library location.
