Strides Against Bladder Cancer

The Strides Against Bladder Cancer event raised $33,500 against a goal of $30,000.

All proceeds benefit bladder cancer research and education at the Institute for Prostate and Urologic Cancers at the University of Minnesota.

Bladder cancer is the 7th-most common cancer in the U.S. and the 3rd-most common cancer in men with 65,000 new cases each year and over 500,000 living with the disease in the U.S. The University of Minnesota is on the forefront of research to identify early warning signs, discover better treatments, and work toward a potential cure. Some examples of our research progress in bladder cancer include identifying new urine-based diagnostics tests, treating early-stage cancer to preserve the bladder, and identifying precision medicine strategies to use chemotherapy more effectively.
