Our Mission
The mission of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology within the broad missions of the larger institutions, is to conduct high quality programs of biomedical research in laboratory medicine and pathology, to educate current and future physicians and scientists, to provide tertiary care laboratory medicine and pathology services for University of Minnesota Physicians and Fairview University Hospital and to serve as a regional and national reference for pathologic diagnosis and for highly innovative, complex clinical laboratory testing.
