Please join us for this 4-day course in the field of Solid Organ Transplant which will focus on cutting-edge developments, advances in the care of donors and recipients and clinical areas where outcomes can and should be improved. This course will bring together surgeons, physicians, pharmacists, advanced practice providers, nurses and all other healthcare professionals involved in the process of taking care of patients with end stage organ failure.
Sessions will focus on:
Immunosuppression Issues in Living Donation
Diversity and Equity Improving long-term posttransplant outcomes
Xenotransplantation Increasing access to transplant
Transplant metrics Today's ethical issues in transplantation
Liver and pancreas transplant
A major component of the course will be the opportunity to interact and discuss with speakers and faculty from around the world about different approaches to care and controversial topics in organ transplantation.
Additionally, we will again be offering a pre-course specifically for Transplant Coordinators, Administrators & Allied Health Care Professionals on Wednesday, September 18th from 8am - 12pm. This is listed on the registration page and intends to provide the nursing perspective on the care of donors & recipients as well as information about organ allocation.
