New article by Rita Perlingeiro, PhD in NPJ Regenerative Medicine

The Nature Portfolio Journal of Regenerative Medicine has published an original research paper by Rita Perlingeiro, PhD entitled “The adult environment promotes the transcriptional maturation of human iPSC-derived muscle grafts.” In the paper, Dr. Perlingeiro discusses her efforts to discover whether transplanted donor-derived myofibers mature to match adult tissue. She outlines the development of a technique to pinpoint key myogenic changes that occur during the in vitro–to–in vivo transition, confirm developmental maturity, and consequently evaluate their applicability for cell-based therapies.
