MD/PhD student Jason SchenkelThe University of Minnesota’s Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD) combines rigorous scientific training with world-class medical education to cultivate the complete physician-scientist.

Our program is one of 46 MD/PhD programs funded by the National Institutes of Health to develop the next generation of physician-scientists. We bring together outstanding, motivated student-leaders and seasoned experts in the field for a training experience that is both challenging and rewarding. As a student, you’ll gain access to unique training opportunities and new career connections throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul region.
