Lin Yee Chen

The Chen Clinical Research Lab is focused on patient-oriented research related to atrial fibrillation and atrial myopathy with particular emphasis on 3 themes:

(1) To identify novel risk factors for atrial fibrillation and atrial myopathy, and discover new strategies to prevent both conditions,

(2) To characterize the relationship of atrial fibrillation and atrial myopathy to cardiovascular and neurocognitive outcomes such as stroke and dementia, and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms,

(3) To discover novel strategies to prevent complications related to atrial fibrillation and atrial myopathy
