Meet our newest Urologist, Dr. Vishnu Ganesan

Despite being the newest member of the faculty, Dr. Vishnu Ganesan is a familiar face to his new colleagues. After all, they celebrated the completion of his fellowship just a few months ago, and now are excitedly welcoming him to the faculty.

Dr. Ganesan's educational journey includes graduating from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and completing his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Notably, he recently concluded his Endourology Fellowship under the guidance of Drs. Michael Borofsky and Depak Agarwal, contributing to the department's rich legacy of innovation.

The term "Endourology" itself was first coined within the University of Minnesota Department of Urology, and many early advances in this sub-specialty were pioneered by the department's urologists. Dr. Ganesan's arrival further bolsters the institution's commitment to pushing the boundaries of urologic research and patient care.

Dr. Ganesan officially joins our faculty as an Assistant Professor on October 31, 2023. Dr. Ganesan will be based at the M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN and in the East Metro area.
