Celebrate 50 Years with Us!

Although this month marks 50 years in existence for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, its life pre-dates 1970 when it started serving as a division within the Department of Radiology in 1925.

Since 1970, the department has focused on educating medical students, physicians, radiation technologists, physicists, and the public regarding cancer prevention, treatment, research, and advocacy. Residents and faculty have access to a wide spectrum of opportunities to work with and assist many patients with a variety of medical problems. And, our alumni go on to pursue excellent careers in the field because of it.

Help celebrate 50 years of the Department of Radiation Oncology by sending in your photos and/or memories or by tweeting them using the hashtag #UMNRadOnc.
