Medical School Scholarships

The University of Minnesota Foundation recognizes the significant financial pressure placed on University of Minnesota medical students. With the average debt among our most recent graduates surpassing $100,000, expansion of the scholarship program is one of our top Fundraising priorities.

Scholarships are awarded to Medical School students through the financial aid offices at both the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses. Eligibility is determined through a standard nationwide financial aid application process.

Last year, the University of Minnesota Foundation provided more than $2 million in scholarships, benefiting 660 students in the University of Minnesota Medical School and School of Public Health. Some require an application or nomination; view the list of scholarships for specific details. Twin Cities Medical School scholarships and Duluth Medical School scholarships.
